»VA« is a study that examines the correlation between image and sound. The work doesn’t show a completed process, but rather tries to examine theoretical and content-related considerations in a practical context and create its own set of rules.
»VA« is an experiment in applying John Cage’s composition method Variations II to film on both a visual as well as acoustic level. The methodological framework is complemented by an examination of the content of Alfred Döblin’s novel “Berlin Alexanderplatz”.
